This is the message brought to the students from the high school of Modern Languages and Management Monday, September 30, 2019 by the team of resident doctors, students of the USMF "Nicolae Testemitanu" and dentists from the dental clinic "Omni Dent" guided by the university lecturer, doctor in medical sciences, Dumitru Sîrbu, (Chiril Voloc, Evelina Corcimari, Mihai Coadă, Dumitru Nucă, Adrian Bădărău, Galina Panuș, Cătălina Ciuclea, Pavel Marusev, project coordinator Dorina Arsene).
Enthusiasm, curiosity, much involvement and very interesting answers offered the children of specialists in the free dental education lesson. “For me the lesson was useful and interesting; I learned a lot more than I knew about my teeth. " These, but also many other statements, said the children of the second class. The event is part of the information campaign "The dentist - the friend of the children", organized by the dental clinic "Omni Dent" in collaboration with the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Nicolae Testemitanu", which will last until December, 2019 and will informs 2000 children.
"We sincerely thank you for organizing the lesson in our institution. The students found out a lot of information regarding the hygiene of the teeth, received gifts and were very impressed with the whole activity ”, mentioned Zaharii Arama, the director of the high school.
The lesson also showed interest to primary school teachers and their students. "The presentation, accompanied by suggestive images, the practical activities stimulated the responsibilities of each to respect the oral hygiene. Such activities are efficient because they contribute to the achievement of the main objectives: to keep teeth healthy for as long as possible, to prevent the appearance of caries, periodontal diseases and bad breath, "said Olesea Jumbei, teacher.
"It was an effective lesson because the students had the opportunity to learn about the rules of dental hygiene, about the ways to care for the teeth, about actions of unhealthy products. The lesson was structured deliberately, combining the theoretical and the practical, the most interesting part. The way the problem is approached is a good one, because preventing diseases is better than treating them, "said Rodica Prodan, a teacher.
For their part, dentists are pleased that their work is appreciated. ”Passion, dedication and volunteer spirit. These three values are the basis of the initiative to participate in the campaign "The dentist - the friend of the children". This experience is very useful because I really like helping people. Students received gifts from the organizers and campaign partners: information booklet with details about proper care of the oral cavity, informational stickers, a schedule that notes the frequency of brushing teeth, toothpaste monsters, Certificates and Diplomas, but also their teachers received notebooks, pens, mouth spray and dental floss from Sensodyne, Paradontax and Bredent Moldova.
