The end crowns the work! With a fairytale decoration, with colorful lights on the frame, with a warm atmosphere, many carols and poems, the team of the "Omni Dent" Dental Clinic was welcomed by the children from the "Ghiocel" kindergarten in Taraclia village, Causani district.
On Saturday, December 28, the team of dentists, part of the campaign "Dentist - the friend of the children", led by the university lecturer, doctor in medical sciences, Dumitru Sîrbu, conducted the final lesson of the campaign, in his hometown, from where the project started. in September this year.
Topics that have caught the attention of children, parents and teachers alike are: Prophylaxis of Oral Diseases; The importance of prevention in dentistry; Influence of food on dental health; The basic rules of hygiene and care; The practical part where the little ones learned the correct brushing technique.
Extremely curious, well prepared with a program dedicated to oral health, the children in the kindergarten "Ghiocel" impressed the guests and the audience. Their artistic moment was a great surprise containing poems, songs, carols. Also, it was very nice to see a panel dedicated to oral health, various illustrative materials made by the children, but also the performance of the kindergarten collective that in the most beautiful Moldovan traditions welcomed us in national clothes, with warmth and warmth characteristic of our nation. The highlight of the event was the interpretation of the song "Yellow gutters" by all those present.
The event was highly appreciated by the kindergarten team together with the director, Ana Bocancea, who mentioned how much they expected this event and how important it is for the children, but also parents, the information about the proper care of the oral cavity. The team of resident doctors, students of the USMF "Nicolae Testemitanu" and dentists from the "Omni Dent" dental clinic guided by the university lecturer, doctor in medical sciences, Dumitru Sîrbu, who gave the free lesson in the information campaign "Stomatologist - the friend of the children ”at the kindergarten in the village of Taraclia are: Mihai Coadă, Dumitru Nuca, Adrian Bădărău, Galina Panuș, Evelina Corcimari, Chiril Voloc, Cătălina Ciuclea, Stas Eni, project coordinator Dorina Arsene.
"Among the team of volunteers are my children, who are not the first experience of this kind: Daniel, a student in the third year, the Faculty of Dentistry and Doina, a student in the first year at the Faculty of Pharmacy, but also our little boy, Pantelimon, who says that the path to medicine will follow us, ”said Mr. Dumitru Sîrbu with pride.
The students received gifts from the organizers and the campaign partners: information booklet with details on the proper care of the oral cavity, informational stickers, a schedule in which they note the frequency of tooth brushing, toothpaste monsters, Diplomas, but also their teachers received notebooks, mouthwash and dental floss from Sensodyne, Paradontax and Bredent Moldova.
In addition, the students received special gifts from the organizers, generously offered by the chief medical doctor of the "Omni Dent" Dental Clinic with boxes of sweets.
Likewise, Dr. Dumitru Sîrbu, made a charity for the kindergarten's needs: a vacuum cleaner and a mixer.
We mention that this is the 10th and last institution in which the campaign "Stomatologist - the friend of the children", organized in collaboration with the USMF "Nicolae Testemitanu", was conducted in 2019. So far, around 2000 have been informed. by children about proper care of the oral cavity.
