Dr. Dumitru Sirbu , the head doctor of the "Omni Dent" Dental Clinic, together with a team of dentists, participated, last week, in a specialized course organized by the famous W&H company from Austria. This company is recognized worldwide as a leader in the development and manufacture of high-quality dental technology products, including turbines, straight and contra-angle handpieces, oral surgery instruments and sterilizers.
In addition to the intensive course focused on the most innovative products, the participants had the privilege of visiting the company's headquarters, where they explored the entire range of products available.
“This experience dedicated to refining and understanding the latest technology in dentistry has been extremely valuable to us. It gave us not only theoretical knowledge but also the opportunity to interact directly with the latest innovations in the field. We are deeply grateful to the W&H team for their great hospitality and for sharing their expertise with us," said Dr. Dumitru Sîrbu, oro-maxillo-facial surgeon.
The medical team experienced a warm and welcoming atmosphere, enjoying the highest level of hospitality, delicious food and special visits. One of these was at the W&H dental museum, which houses a unique collection dating back to 1890.
Starting with the production in Berlin and continuing with the one in Bürmoos, a veritable treasure trove of old dental products, carefully sorted and registered, has been collected: from a foot-operated milling machine from 1900, to a suspension motor with sliding bearings, scales amalgam gauges and straight and contra-angle handpieces from the 19th to 20th centuries, including a 1939 micromotor and a wide variety of dental accessories.
More than 90% of the products on display are still functional, each of which has been painstakingly restored, some incorporating reworked original parts. The earliest exhibits are the straight and contra-angle handpieces from 1890, as well as the universal handpiece patented in 1895.
"We have been cooperating nicely with the famous Austrian company W&H for several years, but this visit to the factory impressed us deeply. We confidently recommend our fellow dentists to purchase the high-quality products manufactured by W&H, through our colleagues from the Torris Medical Company in the Republic of Moldova," added Dr. Dumitru Sîrbu.
