Dentists from the Republic of Moldova, Romania, Greece, Israel, Sweden, Bulgaria and Ukraine gathered last week at the 21st edition of the National Congress with international participation of the Association of Dentists. The event, with the theme "Scientific and practical innovations in contemporary dentistry", was organized in partnership with the Faculty of Dentistry of the "Nicolae Testemițanu" State University of Medicine and Pharmacy.
The congress was a unique opportunity to debate the most current topics in the field of dentistry, including: ulcerative diseases of the oral mucosa; modern diagnosis and treatment options of temporomandibular disorders; iTOP and behavior change in oral health; implantology in the aesthetic area: fundamental conditions for success; vascular anomalies at the level of the cephalic extremity in children; the use of stem cells in periodontology; technological convergence between total prostheses from the perspective of conventional and modern methods; the Rock-Solid concept in the rehabilitation of the totally edentulous patient; the impact of oral health on quality of life in the elderly; and digital implantology in GBR (Guided Bone Grafting).
Oral-maxillo-facial surgeon Dumitru Sîrbu, an active participant in the congress, emphasized the importance of organizing such events, both for the exchange of experience between specialists and for young doctors, who can accumulate new knowledge and cutting-edge techniques.
"During the two days, we had the opportunity to discover extremely valuable and interesting information, which not only broadens our professional horizons, but also contributes to the continuous improvement of our practice. This congress represents a continuous learning platform, essential for all those who want to keep up with the latest advances in the field of dentistry", said Dumitru Sîrbu, head doctor at the "Omni Dent" Dental Clinic.
