During this event, oral-maxillofacial surgeon Dmitry Sirbu was awarded the Golden Diploma and the Diploma of Perfection for the monograph “Biomaterials in the reconstruction of the growth of the alveolar process of the mandible in the treatment of implants”. This monograph appeared as a result of a long study conducted by Dmitry Syrbu with his students Stanislav Stryshka and Alina Sobetzka, who also participated in the design and planning.
The monograph enriches the range of surgical dental services in the field of preimplantation training by increasing the deficit of bone tissue with various biomaterials for the rehabilitation of edentulous patients. The article is part of an extensive research of a doctoral thesis, performed at the Department of Oral-Maxillofacial Surgery and Oral Implantology "Arseny Gutsan" GUMF "Nikolay Testemitanu". Scientific studies begin in 2008 and today are aimed at the rehabilitation of patients with severe bone deficiency.
