The pride of the “Omni Dent” Dental Clinic , these days there are three doctors employed within the Clinic, who under the guidance of the associate professor, dr.șt.med. Dumitru Sîrbu took the lead in the 8th edition of the International Congress for Students and Young Doctors MedEspera 2020. The conference took place between September 24 and 26, in a mixed format, ONLINE and OFFLINE due to restrictions imposed by the State of Emergency in Health.
Stanislav Eni , dento-alveolar surgeon obtained the second place for the presentation of the paper " Alternative implantation in the early rehabilitation of patients with upper jaw atrophy ". " I like to help people, to relieve their pain and to know that they will benefit from the latest achievements in medicine. My concern is the rehabilitation of patients with severe edentulous and atrophies of the upper jaw ", said Stas Eni .
The presentation of the resident doctor, Dumitru Nuca , "The rotated pedicle palatal connective tissue flap " aroused the interest of the jury, which is why he was awarded third place." It's an interesting experience. I had the opportunity to present a part of my study and I look forward to participating in such congresses because I gain experience, knowledge, but also new acquaintances ", said the resident doctor Dumitru Nuca .
The author of the presentation, "Radiological aspects of maxillary bone morphology in patients with osteoporosis ", PhD student Chiril Voloc , was awarded third place. "I am grateful and thank you for this mention. This topic is a section of my doctoral dissertation on the rehabilitation of edentulous patients with osteoporosis through dental implants. It is an interdisciplinary subject aimed at both dento-alveolar surgeons and specialists in other fields (rheumatologists, endocrinologists, etc.) ", said doctor Voloc .
The leader of the participants' theses, Dumitru Sîrbu , happily and emotionally congratulated his colleagues for their effort, work, but also the courage to be part of a valuable scientific community.
“I am happy for every disciple of mine who works and is rewarded for his merits. Every day in the treatment room is an experience, but the fruits of work are also collected by participating in various congresses and conferences. I have always encouraged participation in such events because a good professional must be noticed and appreciated at fair value ", mentioned Dumitru Sîrbu.
During the Congress, the oro-maxillo-facial surgeon , Dumitru Sîrbu , assisted by the oro-maxillo-facial surgeon Stanislav Strîșca and his team of surgeons performed a LIVE surgery, seen by students eager for new knowledge and asked questions right in during the operation.
The congress was organized by the Association of Medical Students and Residents of Moldova, in collaboration with the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy " Nicolae Testemitanu ", the University Center for Medical Simulation and the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection.
